Who We Are
As a historic Prince Edward County landmark, we are proud ambassadors of film, theatre and music, offering memorable experiences to visitors and locals alike. We aim to keep the entertainment heartbeat of the County beating strong with a diverse mix of popular and original programming, accessible to generations young and old.
We are a not-for-profit, registered charity, proudly supported by and supporting the rich artistic community of the County. Our operations are supported a small staff, our members, sponsors, as well as a dedicated team of volunteers.
In addition to being an artistic and entertainment hub for the region, we also offer a full-service rental space, complete with ticket, concession and operational services. See below for more details.
Land acknowledgement
The Regent Theatre is located in the traditional territory of the Anishnabek and Haudenosaunee. We are grateful to the generations of ancestral stewards and caretakers of this land for the opportunity to continue to live, work and share stories in this place we call home. As a community that claims descendants from among the original Loyalist settlers, we are mindful of our Kanyen’kehá:ka neighbours in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory – and beyond – who continue to work with us to find ways to reconcile with our past and pave the way towards an inclusive future.
