REGENT THEATRE YOUNG COMPANY

The Young Company was formed in 2005 to provide young people the opportunity to develop skills in voice, movement, music, improvisations, and stagecraft, and to create and perform scripts relevant to this community.

After the very serious messages of SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY (2005) and AWAY (2006), the group wanted something light, something that would appeal to the whole family. From this we developed this year's touring show, CARAVAN, the story of a group of traveling performers who seek refuge in the County in the era of hard times and swing.

CARAVAN was performed 9 times at 5 different County venues from July 1 - September 29.

When the Young Company is not developing scripts or rehearsing and performing, they enjoy drama workshops and improv nights.
